Homework-

Your child will receive homework weekly on a Friday- Please see your child's bag on a Friday after school. 

This homework will include a range of work including phonics (which relates to the code taught throughout that week), writing and maths. This homework will enable your child to have extra opportunities to become familiar and embed their learning further. 

Reading- 

Your child will be sent home with a reading book which is appropriate for their level of reading and a reading for pleasure book which they will get to choose weekly. It is encouraged that your child is to read at least three times a week at home. This is to ensure that your child is getting the opportunity to read at home as well as at school to apply and practice their phonics and reading further, to overall support learning further.

Additional work-

If you feel that you would like more work to do at home with your child in moderation this can be arranged if necessary to support your child further than please communicate this with myself (Miss Jenkins).
