Curriculum
Our curriculum-
We teach our curriculum through enquiries. This is a thematic approach, initiated by an enquiry question. The enquiry is then taken on a journey of purposeful learning, culminating in authentic outcomes, which answer the question. We have different subject drivers per term (half termly in autumn term) for our enquriy which are:
-Autumn 1- Geography
-Autumn 2- History
-Spring- History
-Summer- Art
Each term (except autumn term as this is half termly) there is a different enquiry question which will have a different focus, these are:
-Autumn 1- What makes Stanstead special?
-Autumn 2- Is change always positive?
-Spring- What lies beyond?
-Summer- Do all heroes wear capes?
Within each enquiry we will focus on a range of different texts which link closely to the enquiry focus. These texts will weave through most of the learning taking place within the classroom. Please see below some of the key texts we will be focusing on each term.
